 Thanks for your support

The Linux Mint project has received a lot of support from the community and we would like to thank everyone for participating . We are growing fast and our distribution is getting better every day thanks to you.

 How to get involved

If you want to get involved with Linux Mint, there are a lot of ways in which you can contribute:

Spread The Word:
If you like Linux Mint, let people know. Write a review and publish it on distrowatch. Talk about it to your friends and around you. The more people know about the project, the more users will join the community and the faster the distribution will grow.

Report Bugs:
If you've noticed something wrong while using Linux Mint, let us know and post what you've found on the forums. It is most likely to happen to others so the sooner we'll know about it the sooner we'll be able to fix it.

Bring New Ideas:
A vast majority of improvements and ideas that make their way into each release come from the community. If there's something you think is missing or that could be done better tell us by using the forums. Whether it's some driver support for your Hardware, or some software application, if you have an idea on how to make Linux Mint better we're always interested to hear it.

Help Others:
There's no better contribution than helping people. If you have some spare time and you're willing to help, read the forums, join the IRC channel and help other Linux Mint users solve the problems you know the answer to.

Join the Community:
Register yourself on the frappr map ( http://www.linuxmint-forum.de/map.html ), connect to the IRC channel, socialize ont the forums.

Making A Donation:
You can help by making a financial contribution to the project. Thanks to advertisements and your donations the Linux Mint project can afford to be hosted on a dedicated server, to advertise on other websites, to purchase and test new hardware (graphic cards for instance) and to give more time to the development team.

Take Responsibility:
If you have a particular skill, if you want to start a sub-project within Linux Mint or if you want to take a role within the project, let us know how you can help. There are a lot of things we don't have time to do and we'd be glad to delegate them to the community.

Development and Packages:
We're looking for developers to help creating configuration tools. Also, we're putting repositories in place to contain packages that don't make it on the CD.  If you have development or packaging skills and you're willing to get involved please let us know.

Create Artwork:
If you are talented in graphic design and willing to contribute to the project. Please send us your creations and artwork. Whether it's a simple wallpaper, an icon set, a splash screen,  or even a new logo, we're always interested to hear from you about this.
